Shu Uemura- Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld

“Shupette,” the most spoiled feline of celebrated fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld takes you to the beauty journey from Parisienne to Tokyo Kawaii with her glistening blue eyes.
I can’t even deal on how much I’m in love with Shu Uemura’s Shupette line (Karl spells it Choupette). I know it’s a little late. This was the 2014 Holiday collection, but it’s better late than never.

Shupette- Has it all eye & lip palette

This palette is so soft and feminine. The packaging is the cutest thing ever! I’m in love with the Shupette makeup bag.  The colors are amazing and highly pigmented. They blend so well. There's  something for everyone. You can definitely build the colors for a soft look or a dramatic intense look. It’s all up to you.  The lip colors are equally as pretty and flattering. This palette is so versatile and great for all skin types.

Shupette- Silk Cushion Cheek

This blush is delicate and beautiful. It’s lightweight and goes on smooth. It truly feels like silk against the skin.

This by far has to be one of the cutest collections ever. Especially for the cat lovers out there. But even if you’re not a cat lover, this line will make you fall in love with Shupette’s baby blues and all the goodies in this collection.

My cat Tutu happens to be the most spoiled feline. Sorry Karl

Hooray For Hollywood!!

Hello Everyone!

I was in Los Angeles a few months ago. Here are some of my purchases and reviews. Enjoy:)

I went on a lipstick scavenger hunt. My mission was to find the Tom Ford Lip Color. I was so happy when I found it at Bloomindales. It was quite pricey at $49.00, but I knew I had to have it. I was going to purchase only one, so I had to choose the right color and there it was staring right at me, Scarlet Rouge. This lipstick is truly stunning. So smooth, rich, and silky. It looks and feels amazing. You really feel like a million dollars wearing this lipstick.

My next little gem was the Dior Addict Extreme in Sunset
Boulevard. I actually purchased this lipstick at the Sephora on Sunset. This color is so pretty. It feels and looks great. It doesn't dry out you lips, it's very moisturizing. The only problem I encountered was I had to reapply it a lot throughout the day. At $32.00 I expected a little more. Other than that, every time I wear it, I always get loads of compliments.
This lipstick I am truly in love with and it’s the Marc Jacobs Lovemarc lipstick in Seduce Me. I love the feel of this lipstick. It doesn’t feel heavy and it’s not overly shining. It does have shine, but it’s not sticky. The color is a berry red and this color would look great on everyone. It was $30.00, but I thought it was well worth it.
Last but never least of the Lipsticks is the Dolce & Gabbana Monica Voluptuous Lipstick in Magnetic Monica. This color is a rich burgundy wine and it’s highly pigmented. I cannot count how many times I’m complemented when I wear this fabulous lipstick. The Monica line was inspired by the actress Monica Bellucci, Dolce & Gabbana’s main muse. Dolce & Gabbanna wanted to capture the sensuality of the Italian woman. I didn’t purchase this lipstick in L.A. I ordered from Sephora, but I had to include it.
I have to share with you the best hot dog I have ever tasted. If you are ever in Los Angeles you have try Pink’s Hot Dogs the Hollywood Legend. They’ve been around since 1939. I ordered the Mulholland Drive Dog with chili fries. Wow! What an amazing place to eat the best fattening foods. After I ate, I did feel like I had to get my behind to a gym, but instead decided to burn off calories and go shopping.
It was a fun trip and I am definitely going back. I hope you enjoyed my reviews.

Take care and stay tuned for my next blog.

European Products

A Big hello to everyone!  I’m back and ready to share some products I purchased when I was in Europe.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy!!

I am a false eyelash fanatic and when I found these in London, I knew they had me written all over them.  I love the look of the packaging.  Eyelure 65 Years Vintage Style Celebration Lashes. They look so cool and Retro.  I can’t wait for Halloween because I’m going as a sixties retro Londoner girl and I’m definitely wearing these lashes.

I love the MUA products, and the prices are amazing!  I’m so impressed with the eye shadow palette. It reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but a hundred times cheaper.  It really feels high end.

The Power Point Tint and Balm reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butters.  It goes on smooth and the shine is gorgeous.  Love the eye shadow I choose.  Great for a smokey eye.   The blush reminds me of Nars.  It stays on all day and I believe I only paid one pound for it.  You cannot beat those prices.

When I saw the Gosh eye shadow palette, I knew I had to buy it.  It reminded me of color by numbers, but the canvas are the eyes.  You can use it in the 1,2,3,4, sequence or as singles.  Just have fun with it.

I also had to pick the Gosh lipstick in Kitten Pink.  How cute is that?  I love kittens and Pink.  It’s a match made in Heaven.

No. 7 knows how to create lipsticks, and colors, but of course I went for the Mischief and Love Red.  My go to colors are pink and red.  It’s my thing.  I love the texture.  So smooth, soft, and silky.  My only warning, be careful when you're wearing the Love Red and eating a sandwich.  With that being said, I highly recommend.

I'm totally loving the No. 7 products. I really like No.7 Beautifully Matte Foundation.  It’s great for Normal/Oily skin.  I'm definitely more oily that normal, so it’s perfect for me, but on the other hand my sister has dry skin and it was just way too matte for her, so if you have dry skin, definitely use a moisturizer or just steer clear.  I should have purchased a lighter color, but I combine it with a lighter foundation.  I love the coverage, especially when you get those pesky zits.

Last but never least the No. 7 in Twilight.  Same name as the movie, but things go smoother with this palette.  I swear you cannot go wrong with these colors.

It’s Bourjois time!  And the eyes have it.  I was shopping at a mall in Belgium when these little beauties caught my eye.  All of the colors in this palette have some shimmer/frost to them.  I highly recommend.

I’m pretty picky when in comes to eyeliners.  I like my eyeliner to last all day.  I usually use Revlon’s Colorstay and Stilla.  They’re amazing. That being said, I was surprised that I did so well with the Kohl & Contour shadow & light. I like the smooth glide to this pencil.

The Bourjois Fan-Tastic Volume Mascara definitely makes  lashes thicker versus longer.  If you naturally have long lashes this one would be good for you, but if you don’t, you’ll have thick but not long.

Last but never least.  I was at Heathrow waiting for my flight home.  I love buying magazines in London, because they always enclose goodies.  I have t-shirts, sunglasses, perfume, totes, mascara, lipstick and this list goes on.  I've been dying to try the Ciate Caviar polish, but I knew it wouldn’t last because I wash my hands a lot, so when it was inside Marie Claire it was a win win situation.  A fashion magazine and Ciate.  It looked great, but it did only last 24 hours.  I think it would have lasted longer on someone not as compulsive.  I was just happy to finally try it.

I hope you enjoyed my Blog and don’t forget to leave a comment.  Thanks!!

Amazing Random Products

Hello Everyone!

It’s been too long, but I’m back now.  I hope you enjoy my random reviews.  I think I’m pretty much all over the place, but everything I talk about, I absolutely love.

First on the list is Caudalie Eau De Beaute.  I bought this at the pharmacy when I was in Paris and fell in love.  Caudalie is amazing and smell so good.  I love the peppermint oil.  It wakes up my skin and gives it that extra boost.  I spray it before applying makeup and after.  If you’re looking for that extra nourishment for your skin, then definitely get a bottle of this wonderful water.  A word of warning.  If you have sensitive skin, I would probably try it out before purchasing.  It’s never been a problem for me, but I’ve heard many talk about a burning sensation, but as for me, I think it feels lovely.

Next on the list is the Aveda Color Options Eye Shadow Transformer.  It turns any powdered eye shadow into an eyeliner or a creamy smooth eye shadow.   In other words, it’s a mixing medium.  What I love about Aveda is everything is natural, so it’s perfectly safe and does not burn and it really works.  The transformations are amazing.

As I continue, you’re going to see an Aveda theme.  I have red hair and anybody who has red hair knows it fades.  That’s why I use the Aveda Madder Root Shampoo.  It’s a plant based shampoo for warm and red tones.  It really preserves my hair color and helps with fading.  It’s smells so good and the shampoo is red in color which I totally love.

Of course you cannot have shampoo without conditioner, so naturally I use Aveda’s Madder Root Conditioner.  It’s intensive conditioning formula rejuvenates and refreshes color, leaving hair shiny, silky, and manageable.

Last but never least on the Aveda theme is the Aveda Color Conserve Daily Color Protect.  It seals in hair color to protect from fadage for up to 6 weeks.  I cannot live without this.  It’s a leave in conditioner and you apply it on damp hair.  Not only does it protect from fading, it also prevents damage.  I also apply a little to my ends when my hair is dry.  Just be careful if your hair is on the oily side.

Like I said in the beginning of this Blog I am all over the place, but that makes it fun.

The last product is Mac’s Archie Girls Collection.  I purchased the Spoiled Rich eye shadow palette.  Also called the Veronica palette.  These colors are rich, vivid, and amazing.  I’m totally digging anything purple at the moment.  If you’re a purple fanatic like I am, then I highly recommend these shadows.

Stay tuned for my next Blog coming soon.

Beauty Products

Hi Everyone,

In my last Blog I said that I was going to talk about eye products, but I have so many favorites, I’m still deciding which products to talk about, so I decided to write about products that I am totally loving at the moment.

Sit back relax and enjoy!

I am extremely obsessed with Bioderma Crealine H2O.  I bought this in June when I was in Paris and not only did I fall in love with Paris, I fell in love with this amazing beauty water.  After cleansing, I was convinced my face was clean until one day I grabbed a cotton round pad used this amazing water and makeup was on the pad. After that, I was hooked. If you can get your hands on this lovely H2O,  I highly recommend it.

I love, love, love, false Eyelashes.  Did I mention I love false Eyelashes? Okay maybe I’m a little compulsive or shall I say
obsessed. At the moment I’m using, Ardell, Mac, eylure, Girls with Attitude Eye impact, Foxy Locks Extensions Foxy Lashes. There are so many choices out there and I’m looking to get my hands on everything I can.  If any of you have recommendations, please send them my way.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect polish, and when I say perfect, what I mean is one that will last more than a week.  People say I’m a compulsive hand washer, but I disagree.  I would say that I’m a person who prefers clean hands over dirty.  That being said, for someone like me who applies polish and after a day the chipping begins and so does the temptation to start peeling.  I know I can’t help it.  It’s like a scab, so the only polish working for me at the moment is Shellac. It really lasts, but you have to go to the Salon, and there are times when I get lazy and want to do my nails myself, so these are my go to colors.

I love anything that sparkles and my opinion, it seems that sparkle polishes last a little longer. My three go to sparkle polishes are Tiara by Orly, Blasted Gold by Opi. It’s a crackle polish, but it does last, and Bedazzled. I bought this in the mall at a store called Icing.

As for my go to non-sparkles are Mermaid by Opi, What’s a Tire Jack? By Opi, and The Strand by nails Inc. London Magnetic Polish.  I bought all three at Sephora.  Out of the three, I would say  Mermaid lasted the longest. I liked the magnetic polish, but the weird thing was I could only get the magnet to work once.  The color was amazing, I just lost my touch the second time around.

Now I’m going to throw in my favorite candle. I am crazy about the fragrance, so without out further adieu it’s Cranberry Pear Bellini.  I bought this at Bath and Body works, and it smells amazing! It’s a bright blend of sparkling cranberry, sweet pear nectar, and luscious blackcurrant. I have allergies and what I love is that it didn't make me sneeze or give me a headache, because some smells will do that.  Also, for any of you that have animals, and I do, I have cats, and we know that the litter box from time to time tends to smell, especially after use. If you light this candle and your kitty uses the litter, you will be amazed, no odor.

Thank you for reading and please stay tuned for my next Blog.

Bold Lipstick and Glosses

Hello Everyone and welcome to my beauty, fashion, and on occasion Restaurant reviews. I love food, so I just had to add it.
So sit back relax and enjoy:)

I have a deep passion for red lipstick, I know, it’s my thing. I know some beauty experts might say, don’t use red in the morning, but I believe in doing red, morning, noon, and night. I will also add my favorite deep fuchsia’s and pinks.

If you want a lipstick that's going to turn heads, then Mac’s Ruby Woo is for you. I am truly in love with this lipstick. It’s very matte and not too easy to spread, so I put on my honey trap lip balm from Lush, and let the smoothness begin. It really makes a difference when you add a lip balm, but if extreme matte doesn’t bother you, than go for the gusto, and don’t use a lip balm.

I am a huge fan of matte, but on occasion I will throw in a gloss. My go to gloss is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture in number 14, fuchsia Dore. If you want your gloss to stay on all day, the YSL is for you. My only issue, I felt I had to apply about three coats to get my desired color, other than that, it’s an amazing gloss. Oh, one more thing, don’t do what I did and apply the gloss and decided to pet your cat, because you will definitely have fur lips, but if fury lips is your thing, go for it.

I’m what you call a girly girl, so I have to add a hot pink lipstick,
and that lipstick is the color Carthage by Nars. This is also a matte, but it’s easy to spread. It goes on smooth and lasts all day. I even bungy jumped in this color and the lipstick and I survived the jump.

I did choose three expensive lipsticks, so I’m going to throw in some reasonably priced lipsticks.

The Avon Ultra Color Rich lipstick in Crimson, is a deep, bold, and creamy blend of red and dark fuchsia. Don’t be afraid of the dark color, it goes on much lighter than it looks. I like the smoothness and ease of this lipstick.

Last but never least, I’m totally digging the Revlon Color Burst Lip Butters. I love the Raspberry Pie. I call it the perfect bright pink. It’s truly amazing. I love the shine, but I did have to reapply throughout the day, but it's definitely worth it. I call Raspberry Pie a happy color, and if it makes me happy, I don’t mind reapplying.

I hope you enjoyed my review of lipsticks and glosses. Look out for my next Blog coming soon. I’ll give you a hint, the eyes have it. Okay that was almost a dead give away:)
